✨One-of-a-Kind, Absolutely Stunning Rococo-inspired, theatrical/film-quality interpretation of the iconic Gold/Mustard Ballgown inspired by the animated film and designed by 1994’s Tony Award winner for Costume Design Ann Hould Ward, and worn by Belle in the Broadway musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast!

This “Beauty” truly is just that. Featuring antique beaded/ gemstone trims and baubles,, a merging of vintage and modern-made-to-look-vintage durable and hand-painted/dyed fabrics, if this gown could speak, it could indeed tell a “tale as old as time…”

Built in 2 pieces (counting hoop skirt) the bodice has a hidden industrial zipper for quick change convenience, as well as hooks that secure it at the waist to the separate Ball Skirt (Hoop underskirt can be attached at waistband for/during performance, but should be stored separately when the costume is not in consistent or current use), actors/performers will feel safe and confident in its Fit, Ease, Comfort, Endurance/Reliability, and Spectacular Effect.

✨ Size is 💯 Flexible. Can be comfortably worn without any alterations/adjustments by those who feel confident in sizes between 4-12. Easily can be - and should be -altered/adjusted without provoking fear, embarrassment or any shame/anxiety for those performers requiring a different fit than those listed above.

A few months ago, someone started anonymously sending vintage/old/gaudy/tacky/wacky/wild/boring Prom, Wedding, Military, etc Ballgowns to me c/o my parents’ address!

I have no idea who or why, but once in a while, there will be a large box addressed to me, sent from “The Tailor of Gloucester” and no further details or instructions other than a typed 4 x 6” card included each time that reads:

“Use your creativity to Make Good from this. I know you will, because everything YOU imagine becomes Real…

One of the most important and dedicated aspects of my mission to me, as a Costume & Fashion Designer is ensuring that my work is accessible and made available to ALL - not simply a few, and that the same care, creativity, thought and complexity is offered to each respective client — regardless of the client’s Status, Budget, Public Visibility, Professional Affiliation/Experience or Level of Exposure, their Socio-Economic or Cultural status; Body Shape or Size, Gender/Preferred Pronouns, Race, etc.

By using these gifted gowns as well as other rarely worn or older existing pieces from my stock as bases, I am able to keep pricing at a substantially lower rate for these custom-redesigned and curated (not custom built from scratch— there is a huge difference between the two price-wise!) products!

Starting there, and then blending them together while incorporating incredible second-cuts, end-of-bolts, and collected remnants, vintage fabrics and trims sourced locally as well as globally, either from my amassed and amazing collection— or purchased at steep discounts specifically for these projects enables clients to access a level of result previously not available to them.
