as a teacher

Jake lives and breathes art. He greets each step of the process with such passion and commitment, the way a true artist does, as if it’s as essential to life as breathing. Jake inspires everyone around him to raise the bar and join him in the challenge to live and create at the highest possible level. Because of him, I am a better artist and actor.

Jake, thank you so much. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the activities, and your approach to their creativity and excitement. I am looking forward to seeing what they do next on their own! Thanks again for a fantastic masterclass – you are a wonderful teacher; patient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable!

Jake came into my life about a year ago as an addition to my school’s production team, and I can say with full passion that he cares about the arts above anything else. In addition to being a teacher of theatre arts and its culture, in terms of his work on shows, he is an incredible costumer and has further helped me with multiple quick changes backstage and quick make up help. Talk about nerves of steel under pressure! Yet, what he does best, no matter the circumstance, is inspire and reassure young people, and probably all people who are involved in the performing arts, that they can do anything – and – what they do can change and affect people. He is truly an inspiration.
